Action Research Week 2- Reflection

This week was especially easy for me. After gaining the new terminology and the nine different areas for pertinent action research, being able to personalize my learning by putting this to use on an action research topic that means something to me was exciting. My site supervisor encouraged me to look back at the three topics I had chosen and choose the one that was the most relevant to where I am now, as a district lead teacher in charge of the k-12 visual arts curriculum. She made a valid point in that no matter what title I hold, I should always do the most relevant action research rather than just doing the inquiry for inquiry sake. While this might seem like a common sense suggestion, I can see why it would be easy to lose sight of pertinent, relevant action research while getting lost in a stew pot of leadership gumbo.
